My Car has a Carburettor problem, please help?

It's a single point injection (SPi) rather than a carburettor. Yes it looks like one, it's more of an electronic carb to be honest. I reckon it has a blocked breather pipe where the rocker top breather hose joins. Make sure these are cleaned out before spending daft money on repairs. I seem to remember there was also an issue with wiring going to this unit having problems with a tight corner near the connector block. If there is a broken wire with intermittent contact inside, you will experience problems. There was a separate loom available to repair these, from Vauxhall. Might not be too expensive. Oh, and it's 1500 Rpm. 15000 Rpm would kill it!
