Whats the best way to get a chance at pararescue if your eye sight is 20/200 in both eyes?
hello, im 19 yrs old and currently trying to enlist in Air Force pararescue. went to my local meps to enlist under pararescue the other day, at the end of the day they told me that my eye sight is around 20 200 in both eyes and that pararescue is out of the picture now. i really want to try out for pararescue, ive been training since i was 17 yrs old for it. they suggested that i join the air force, get prk surgery and then crosstrain to pj from there. i would like to know the fastest and smartest way to get a shot at pararescue? i heard that i would have to work at the enlisted job for around three years before i get a crosstrain to pj...? why so long i thought they need pj's. i can p the past test without any problems. would getting eye surgery before joining, then going into pararescue work? any info on best route to pj indoc would be much appreciated... thanks
