Have you changed political affiliation at any point? Why?

I was a democrat becuase I was pro-gay marriage, animal rights, abortion, atheist, and pro-legalization of marijuana. Then I discovered that governmental they were pro-power and fiscally they weren't any good at all. I sill have my socially liberal ideas but governmentally and fiscally I'm conservative. So I switched to libertarian.
