What was that noise?! Footsteps in night...?

That is scary. Maybe tonight put a video camera in the hallway (if you have one) and see if anyone goes by. I am not sure what else to tell you. You and your brother can investigate or if you are religious and believe it is a spirit or something then pray to God.
